Tourism industry – The biggest service industry in India –
is further flourishing at a fast pace. The GDP from the sector is expected to
grow 7 percent from 2013-2024. The numbers are even expected to exceed the
expectations depending on the improvements in adventure travel which attracts Foreign
Tourist Arrivals (FTA). The tremendous increase in domestic
travellers has taken the adventure sports industry to a new high.
According to ATOAI (Adventure Tour Operators
Association of India), in the last five years, 400 percent growth has been
observed in domestic tourists getting engaged in adventure sports.
